Scarlet Wines began life in 2009 as a wine shop, deli and cafe based at the Old Forge in Lelant near St Ives. It stayed like that for ten years, but during that time we found an increasing demand for our wine from shops, pubs and other restaurants.

In 2019 we took the decision to focus solely on wine delivery and let our friends Mike and Becky take over the running of the restaurant. The Old Forge they created has been a huge success and they offer excellent breakfast lunch and dinners, click here for their website.

Since 2019 our focus on delivery has allowed Scarlet Wines to grow still further.  Sustainability is central to our thinking and in the Summer of 2020 we took delivery of our first cargo bike and an electric van.  Both were a revelation: powerful, quiet and incredibly useful.

We have always tried to keep our operations in a tight geographic area, roughly corresponding to Penwith, but by 2025 we felt it was time to expand again and for the first time we are offering our delivery service in the Falmouth and Penryn area.
