Burns Night at Scarlet Wines
On the 24th January, Scarlet Wines will be serving up the latest in a series of Feast Nights while reveling in a timely theme. Burns Night, the annual celebration of Scottish literary hero Robbie Burns, is a chance to hunker down for a night of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, warmed from within by samples of our world whisky selection, and from without by the flames of our roaring wood burner. Our Feast Nights are a chance to enjoy a great value night out during the winter months for just £15 a head. Check out the menu - our take on traditional hearty Scottish fare. To Start Cured Tout with Potato Pancakes, Crispy Skins and Sorrel Aioli (Vegetarian Option) Onion Fritters with Potato Pancakes, Crispy Skins and Sorrel Aioli Main Haggis served with Neep and Tattie Gratin , Whisky Sauce and Swede Crisps (Vegetarian Option) Ricotta Cakes served with Neep and Tattie Gratin , Whisky Sauce and Swede Crisps Dessert Deep Fried Mars Bar, Rosemary Honeyed Oat Ice Cream - (£5.00 additional charge) We’d also like to invite you to a whisky tasting alongside this feast of northern sustenance: The Scots do it rather well, after all. For an additional £15 you can sample a selection of Highland, Speyside and Blended Malts. However, being a worldly bunch, we couldn’t resist throwing in a Swedish whisky for good measure: the Scots did consider divorce proceedings after all. We'll also be serving Whisky cocktails.... Revelry begins at 7pm. For bookings, please call 01736 753696. We look forward to seeing you on the 24th.
