Katrina Slack Exhibition
We are not the only ones facing extinction!
Artist Katrina Slack is displaying a series of sketches and sculptures at Scarlet Wines throughout September. The show features work around extinct and endangered species and comprises of both sketches and trophy heads which feature animal species that are already extinct or are critically endangered. The idea is to not only create an interesting exhibition but also to highlight the mass extinction of species which is taking place around the globe due to human activity. Any sales will see a donation going to the WWF.
Katrina is known for working with charities such as World Animal Protection and Surfers Against Sewage to create art for campaigns around plastic pollution and ghost fishing line in our oceans. Her work has been used internationally to raise awareness about these issues and her ghost gear porpoise will soon be on display in New York during the Homes Fashion Week.
