In early November 2025 we opened our new shop in Arwenack Street, Trago end, central Falmouth. This is incredibly exciting for us. 

What does it offer?  We are lucky with the building; 40 Arwenack Street is a great spot and as you look out from behind the curved window,you get a glimpse of the Carrick Roads beyond. We found an incredible Victorian tiled floor and we added some comfy banquette seats.

 

We wanted the wine to speak for itself. As you look into the cafe you see hundreds of bottles on the shelves and behind the bar.  You can sit down and drink any of them at your table, so the shelves are a huge physical wine list for you to choose from.

On the bar you will see our pride and joy, our Senesso S200 coffee machine.  Supplied to us by our friends at Yallah, coffee is a central part of what we offer and we love the mouth watering smell that fills the shop each morning. 

We offer brunch in the daytime, served on lovely hand-made pottery from the Leach Pottery in St Ives.

We also offer the fantastic Verdant Helles as our house beer and a big range of spirits including local legends Loveday plus many other Cornish spirits.

At night time the lights are low and the main illumination comes from the glow of the bottle shelves plus beeswax candles on your table.  We offer bar snacks at night to accompany your drinks - choose from our regularly changing list by the glass or any bottle from the shelves. 

Dogs and even children are welcome, come and put up your flyer if you have an event on.  Wine can be stuffy and pretentious but we aim for the opposite, a warm and friendly welcome and helpful advice if you want it.

Please note: currently we operate more like a bar than a restaurant, so we don't take table reservations.
