Scandinavian Feast Night
Scarlet Wines in Lelant has experienced a revamp this autumn, adding a fresh infusion of Scandi style to our wine shop, cafe and deli. To celebrate, the latest in a series of feast nights on Friday 28th November will have an appropriately Nordic theme.
Jon explained the thinking behind the new look: “Scarlet is five years old this year. We put a lot of love into the restoration of the building originally and we know our guests love the space – adding a Scandinavian twist seemed like the perfect way to enhance the current feel while keeping things fresh.” Using timber cladding and specially sourced textiles, Scarlet has been given an edgy new look akin to a Nordic ski lodge, complete with a roaring wood burner and hand-built bench seats; a little pocket of Northern European cool just off the A30.
To usher in the new look, Scarlet Wines is hosting a Scandinavian Feast Night – the latest in a series of themed evenings to take place this autumn and winter. Guests will be served lashing of home-cured gravalax followed by Swedish meatballs for £15 a head, and for an extra charge can choose wines to match (or throw caution to the wind with vodka tastings!)
Scarlet’s inventive offering encourages creative connections between food and drink from all around the world; the feast nights are the perfect opportunity to enjoy Scarlet’s signature brand of good wine, good food and good company.
